Flexible adaptation to changes is one of the most essential sources of competitive advantages for business organizations today. The ChangeManagement learning material introduces the main elements of the process of change, draws attention to traps in changing organizational routines and suggests possibilities of how to avoid them. In the ChangeManagement course the user becomes an active participant in a realistic story: as a newly appointed manager in a loss-making restaurant, the user has to reverse the negative business tendencies, expose organizational reserves and change poorly functioning operational practices.

The user determines how to structure the organization, applies team-building strategies and devises methods to motivate staff. He/she can dismiss or promote employees or seek advice from external consultants. The user, as the manager, makes decisions on everything and faces the consequences of those decisions. After each decision, the application gives detailed feedback on the resources used, the time elapsed and anticipated reactions from the user’s superior and restaurant owner.
