Don't panic about a Project...™ - ProjectManagement
In today’s fast-paced business world, there are more and more challenging tasks, differing from the familiar everyday routines, that require successful project implementation. The most crucial feature of a project is its novelty. A project manager’s efforts are aimed at implementating something new that does not yet exist. Consequently, every project is a step towards the unknown, entailing insecurity and unforeseen risks. The aim of ProjectManagement me-Learning® simulation is to introduce the knowledge of project operation, management planning, resource organization, financial decision-making and leadership routines. The core of the me-Learning® courses is micro-simulation. The user becomes an “actor” in a realistic story, in which he or she is to make decisions on the basis of the information and resources provided. In the ProjectManagement simulation, the user’s task is to reach the summit of Mt. Everest with his Himalaya expedition project team. The user makes decisions about the project group, team building methods or motivational techniques. He or she commends performance of members, excludes members from the project, and even manages crises. The user is responsible for all decisions as well as dealing with the associated consequences. After each decision, the program provides detailed feedback of project achievement, resources allocated, team morale and risks.
